Kocaeli, Türkiye / Klagenfurt, Carinthia, AT – 07.01.2026 – The ETCOP Institute for Interdisciplinary Research reaffirms its commitment to strengthening international research capacity by actively supporting Kocaeli University (Türkiye) in its strategic development toward becoming a strong, internationally visible research university.
This collaboration is grounded in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the two institutions, which establishes a long-term partnership focused on interdisciplinary research, academic exchange, and joint innovation activities. As a concrete outcome of this collaboration, the ETCOP Institute and Kocaeli University have jointly submitted a project proposal to the European Union in the thematic field of Disaster Recovery and Resilience. The proposal addresses pressing global challenges related to crisis preparedness, recovery mechanisms, and the role of research and innovation in strengthening societal resilience.
